Engee Accountancy and Credit Management is wholly owned and operated by Norman T F Gray.

I have been a fully qualified Accounting Technician since 1984 and in 1992 returned to college in order to gain an IT qualification. The ICM (Institute of Credit Management) exams were undertaken in 1997 and I am the author of an introductory book on the subject.

Since coming to East Kent in 1998 I have been employed in senior management and financial positions gaining extra experience and knowledge in all aspects of business and Credit Management. I have also studied for qualifications in the fields of project and environmental management including ISO 14001 Internal Auditing.

In 2007 I found that I could not obtain a senior position because of the lack of knowledge and understanding by businesses in South East Kent of all of the elements that are covered by Credit Management. Therefore, the opportunities at the higher level are very few and far between. The training facilities are even fewer, with the nearest centre offering professional qualifications, as per ICM, in Dartford.

The Engee Accountancy & Credit Management concept came about some fifteen years ago when I was asked to help a friend to understand Bookkeeping and Credit Management, but a business was never formed and the idea was put on the back burner until I started talking to a guy called Trevor May and we both found out that I had a plethora of transferable skills and talents that had never occurred to me.

He persuaded me that whilst we talked I had educated him as to problems he had never thought about and that I had not only the knowledge but the enthusiasm to bring these skills to the general business community via my own business. He then recommended several people who put me in touch with others who persuaded me that I had identified an under-developed area of accountancy in the South East of Kent.

The result of this encouragement is what you see before now, a business that is dedicated to the education, training and improvements in standards within the Credit Management field of Accountancy.
